Tango for Managers

Workshops

"Tango for managers" workshops use argentinian tango as a vehicle to learn in an embodied way about themes like leadership, collaboration, or more specific ones like “non intuitive interventions using the Rose of Leary”, or "getting the upper hand in sales talks".

"Tango for Managers" workshops are made to measure professional development trainings.

The novel approach in this work has been elaborated during countless workshops over the last decade. Hundreds for managers have been trained in different themes, both in-company and in open inscription trainings.

We have ample experience deploying "Tango for Managers" as a stand alone activity or integrated in bigger trainings or events. We are comfortable with developing and delivering this ourselves or finding the best way to serve your purposes in collaboration with others.

Research

Taking development one step further Mark Soekarjo and Sharon Mason researched the workshops. The main reason was to find out why and how these workshops were so effective. Participant feedback was analyzed and a theoretical framework was developed.

Two papers were presented at the peer reviewed international scientific congress of the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) in 2007 (Vienna) and 2008 (Amsterdam).

The particular workshop described in this studies is an integral part of a comprehensive program called “How to manage people management " at the Dutch Management Center de Baak.
